OMNIA is our software for local opinion research. You set up a study, collect answers online and in the street, monitor quotas and quality and produce reports. It is a working tool, not a methodological certification.

Anyone who wants to know what residents of a municipality think often works with spreadsheets, paper questionnaires and loose forms. That makes it hard to monitor quality and account for results.
OMNIA brings this together in one environment: organisations, projects, versioned studies, fieldwork and reports.
The challenge
Fieldwork often happens without a good connection, so answers must be stored securely on the device. And the spread of respondents has to match the agreed quotas.
Every result also has to show the base it was calculated on. Otherwise numbers look bigger than they are.
Our approach
We started with the fieldwork itself: who asks what, where and when, and who checks it. Roles, supervision and quality control are therefore part of the system from the start.
We are also clear about what OMNIA is not: not a methodological certification and not a tool for persuading individuals. The researcher remains responsible for the design.

Result and impact
With OMNIA a small team can set up and follow a local study without loose spreadsheets, with a view of quotas and quality. We do not publish study results or names of municipalities.
The software runs as a pilot. What we validate: how fieldwork goes in practice and how well supervision and reporting fit the work of researchers.
